About the Guest

David Knowles is the Founder & Creative Director of Artelier, an art consultancy ‘run by artists for artists’. David has dedicated his career to working with and supporting contemporary artists. 

Prior to founding Artelier, he pioneered several Arts Council England-funded galleries and projects that continue to prosper emerging artists and young curators. With a Masters in Fine Art, David is trained in art research, production and critique. 

As a specialist art advisor for leading international exhibitions, such as Noor Riyadh, and as a guest lecturer at European universities, he is recognised for his art market knowledge and curatorial experience.

Riah Pryor is an investigative journalist and author specialising in the relationship between art and law, supported by her experience working at New Scotland Yard's Art and Antiques Unit. She previously worked at The Art Newspaper as Art Market Assistant Editor and continues to write for them on a freelance basis, in addition to report writing and editorial consultancy for a range of art market clients.
