Presented by Arcarta, the anti-fraud and customer due diligence network for the art world, the Bigger Picture presents a special series of episodes in partnership with London Art Week. A showcase of the best that the art market has to offer, we take an inside look at the galleries participating and the stories behind the people that shape them.
I can't stress how powerful the story is in bringing people into art...

Starting out - without the money to buy works by great artists - if Philip Mould couldn’t afford work by Gainsborough or Van Dyck he would find one. Some 30 years later, this single-minded focus and unique approach - born out of necessity and fuelled by passion - has seen Philip become synonymous with ‘sleepers’: the discovery of lost or unknown works of art. Today from the gallery in Pall Mall - and through the BBC series Fake or Fortune - the art dealing broadcaster and his team - delight in sharing the ‘big stories’ about important works that captivates an art loving public.
